`HOUSE FOR HAITI` - AN ECHELON HOUSE PROJECT
As many of you know, the Echelon House is a project orchestrated by the fans of rock band 30 Seconds to Mars, working with Habitat for Humanity on an international level to help build homes for those in need.
Now more than ever, they need our help.
The disaster in Haiti in January of 2010 is another sobering reminder of how lucky we are, and how fast things can change.
As our main Echelon House page directs funds internationally, we have started this page to direct funds directly to Haiti during this time of crisis. At a later date, these funds will be `transferred` to our main Echelon House page, and added to our totals as a group.
Our main Echelon House page
Of course, all items for sale on our website are available for this page as well as the main Echelon House page. There is a ton of info and helpful hints, take a look below:

As an international fanbase, we come together in numbers - there`s no limit what we can achieve when we work as a whole.
Please consider giving to this worthwhile cause in this time of crisis.
As always, contact me at echelonhouse@gmail.com with any questions.

Some info from Habitat UK:
`The magnitude 7.0 earthquake that struck near Port-au-Prince has killed tens of thousands of people, precipitated an humanitarian crisis and destroyed the infrastructure of the Haitian capital. This is a catastrophe of major proportions. Early estimates suggest that up to 3 million people were killed, injured or made homeless.
The collapse of many well-constructed government buildings, hospitals, schools and supermarkets means that ordinary Haitian homes have suffered severely.
Your support NOW is critically important! The extent of Habitat`s ability to help families rebuild their homes and lives after this devastating earthquake will depend on the funds we can raise for the work—and on how quickly those funds are available.
Habitat for Humanity has been present in Haiti since 1981, working with low-income families in need of decent housing. We have sent a Disaster Risk Assessment Team to gain a clear picture of the situation and will provide an emergency humanitarian response in specialist shelter provision and reconstruction by way of a cash-for-work programme, shelter kits and transitional housing . Further information is available on our website.
Join us in praying for the best—but preparing for the worst.
Habitat has worked in Haiti for 26 years — and we will be there for the long term to help families whose homes were lost get back into safe, decent and affordable housing.`
